Further improvements planned following latest Big Bus Conversation
2 weeks ago

Bus users on the Fylde coast have given the thumbs up to recent service enhancements we have introduced.
More than 400 people took part in our Big Bus Conversation, and nearly half said that new routes and timetables have had a positive impact on their journeys, with a further 30 per cent said they had not been adversely affected by the changes.
The changes, which were launched on 31st August, included extending service 5 to Thornton and Cleveleys and diversions to the college at peak times to improve travel options for local students.
Jamie Swift, Head of Commercial at Blackpool Transport, commented: “We’re delighted the service improvements introduced at the end of August were so well received, particularly the increase in bus frequency on many routes.
“We would also like to thank everyone who took part in the Big Bus Conversation for their honest and constructive feedback, and we are now looking closely at their comments to see where further enhancements can be made across the network.
“This includes looking at ways to address concerns expressed by a small number of respondents who said the changes were confusing or are having a negative impact on their journey.
“Over the next few weeks, we will be reviewing current timetables to see how we can further improve reliability and connectivity across the network.” Jamie added.
